Q1:	Hello , I am a vendor out of the US, and I would like to know if there is any restriction on this to participate in this BID, since shipments will be made from out of the USA.
A:	Vendors outside of the USA are welcome to participate in this bid. However, the vendor is responsible for transporting the goods to the continental US. Mentholatum will only be responsible for the inbound freight expense from an FOB point within the continental US.

Q2:	Is this opportunity available for manufacturing representatives where I am representing a company and will be handling any and all issues related to this project but the actually billing would go thru the manufacturer?
A:	Yes, this opportunity is available for Manufacturing Representatives.

Q3:	Is it possible to get CAD files of the cartons?
A:	Unfortunately, CAD files of the cartons are not available.

Q4:	Are there any further requirements on the Foil Board?
A:	There is no further information on the Foil Board. It is SBS Board with a foil layer laminated to it.

Q5:	Some spec sheets specify Westvaco or Masterprint as the material supplier. Is this a specific requirement?
A:	No. At the time some specifications were created, we knew the sources to be Westvaco or Masterprint so we specified them. That is not a requirement. What IS a requirement is that the caliper (16 pt, 18 pt, etc) and type of board (SBS, SUS, etc) is adhered to.

Q6:	Spec group 3 question on foil board: Do these three items below require opaque white? The spec sheets do not show that they require opaque white. Please confirm. CA349001 CA353001 CA354001 These two items below are similar to the above items but DO require opaque white. CA355002 CA356002
A:	The specifications are correct as written. The two items use opaque white so parts of the foil board are covered up before other colors are layed down.

Q7:	Coating question: Many item specs list aqueous coating and several list uv coating. Would we be able to run all uv coating if cost isn't an issue?
A:	We would be accepting of standardizing upon UV coating if there is no cost penalty to Mentholatum.

Q8:	Color question: CA212001 & CA325001 have white listed but the specification says they print on sbs board which is already white. Please confirm.
A:	White is NOT a prinred color. The specification is incorrect in this case. While there are situations where we will print white on SBS, it is not the case here.

Q9:	Silver ink question: Some specs list 877 silver and others list metallic silver. Should we assume all should list metallic silver to be consistent?
A:	Do not assume PMS 877 and Metallic Silver are the same thing. Metallic Silver could encompass more than one PMS shade.

Q10:	Order Quantity questions: Are there any minimum order quantities? What assumptions should be made when quoting these 85 items? Quarterly runs, based on the annual volume, etc? Is there any previous order quantity history that can be provided?
A:	No, there are not any Minimum Order Requirements. Yes, there is a an Order History spreadsheet already provide within the ebid under the Requirements, Section #7. This is no way a commitment to order exactly as we have in the past but is a representation of how we have ordered in the past. We do order as needed and Suppliers will need to bid with this in mind. Q11:	Can we layout items of same die size on same printed sheet?
A:	The question we believe you are asking is: "Can we Gang Print?". Printing more than item on a sheet is allowed IF AND ONLY IF the following occurs: A) The method of seperating and 100% verifying the die cuts is fully validated to Mentholatum's standards (IQ OQ PQ). The award will not be made until this occurs. If more than one piece of equipment performs the seperating and verifying, then each must undergo the IQ OQ PQ. B) The barcode used for identifying the item is the one located on the minor flap of our cartons, not the retail UPC on a main panel. Not all of our cartons have this on our artwork at present. Most do. Mentholatum would add this to the artwork as needed. C) Documentation that any gang printed cartons have been subjected to the validated process in (A) must accompany each shipment.

Q12:	Can we mix different items and drawing sizes on the same sheet?

Q13:	Do these four items are the same as the ones showed : CA371001 is the same with CA371002 CA372001 is the same with CA372003 CA373001 is the same with CA373003 CA374001 is the same with CA374003 Thanks
A:	There are small changes between the two versions. The newer versions have a shadow of the bottle incorporated into the graphics. The TM symbol is also added after one of the ingredients. Small, but definate changes.

Q14:	Please confirm that question #1 does not include Canada. In the In-Bound route Guide, it states on page 11 that freight originating from Ontario should be shipped via Cavalier, freight collect.
A:	We will amend our response to question #1 and allow a folding carton manufacturer located in the province of Ontario Canada to ship FOB from their Ontario facility. Outside of that exception, our response to Question #1 stands.
